Overview
Kenya holds more than 1,100 recorded bird species — one of the richest lists in Africa — and this five-day itinerary is built purely around finding them. Guided by a specialist birding guide with laser-quick ears, you will work the papyrus fringes and raptor skies of Lake Naivasha, the flamingo shallows and woodland of Lake Nakuru, and the high-altitude moorland and forest of the Aberdares, each habitat delivering its own specialities. Expect turacos, hornbills, sunbirds, fish eagles at the strike, and — with luck — rarities like the Grey-crested helmet-shrike. Realistic trip lists run 250-350 species. Binoculars essential, checklists provided, patience rewarded daily.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Depart Nairobi at 07:00 with a bird guide. Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park after a brief stop at the Rift Valley viewpoint. Spend the afternoon birding around the lake, targeting flamingos, pelicans, and raptors. Overnight at lodge.
