5 Days Diani Beach & Kisite Marine Park
Kenya's own coast: four nights at Diani, a dhow day in the Kisite marine park off Wasini, and Shimba Hills for sable antelope — the domestic beach add-on to a Mount Kenya climb or a Mara safari.
Overview
Zanzibar is not the only ocean. Diani is a 45-minute flight from Nairobi, the reef sits a kilometre offshore, and the Kisite-Mpunguti marine park south of it is some of the best snorkelling on the whole East African coast.
Four nights, with a full dhow day out to Wasini and Kisite and a half-day in the Shimba Hills — the only place in Kenya you will see sable antelope. It is built to follow a Mount Kenya climb or a Mara safari, and because it is domestic there is no second visa, no second border and no international connection to miss.
