7-Days Tanzania Northern Circuit Grand Safari

Depart Arusha and drive 2 hours to Tarangire. Full-day game drive through baobab-dotted landscape along the Tarangire River which attracts high concentrations of wildlife during the dry season, and its iconic giant baobab trees watching massive elephant herds, giraffe, and prolific birdlife. Camp inside the park.

Morning game drive in Tarangire before departing for Lake Manyara. Afternoon game drive along the lake shore beneath the Rift Valley escarpment. Search for tree-climbing lions, flamingos, and hippos. Camp near the park. Predators & Primates: Keep your eyes on the acacia branches for the rare tree-climbing lions and large troops of olive baboons near the entrance. The Soda Lake: Home to thousands of lesser flamingos, pelicans, and wallowing hippos Unique Ecosystem: Transition quickly from a dense, jungle-like groundwater forest to open lake floodplains

Drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands and descend into the Serengeti. Enter through Naabi Hill Gate for an afternoon game drive across the Central Serengeti plains. Camp at Seronera.

Full day exploring the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. Track migration herds seasonally, locate lions at the kopjes, and search for cheetah and leopard. Picnic lunch in the bush.

Another full day in the Serengeti exploring different sectors of the park. Early morning drives catch predators on the hunt. Visit the hippo pool and explore the Grumeti River area. Campfire under the stars.

Morning game drive before departing for Ngorongoro. Arrive at the crater rim by afternoon, settling into camp with stunning views over the caldera.

Dawn descent into the crater for a 5-6 hour game drive. Explore the crater floor for Big Five encounters, flamingos on Lake Magadi, and the chance to spot endangered black rhino. Picnic lunch, then ascend and return to Arusha.
