A 5-day"out-and-back" trip on Chogoria gives you a second chance to admire its unmatched scenery from a completely different perspective."Up and Down" Chogoria route trek on Mount Kenya is widely considered the most scenic itinerary on Africa's second-highest mountain. Climbing up and down the same eastern side allows you to maximize your time around spectacular features with dramatic plunge waterfalls, deep glacial gorges,Lake Ellis, Lake Michaelson, and the Temple cliff, which are often rushed during a standard point-to-point traverse.

Morning drive from Nairobi and drive through the agricultural central highlands to Chogoria town,where you will have lunch.and after proceed driving through the rough forest track to the park gate. You will trek through the dense bamboo and montane forest zones, ending the day at the Meru Mount Kenya Bandas camp for dinner and overnight rest

Trekking for 12 hours, ~21km, 785m ascent / 2,035m descent. Summit Push: Alpine wake-up call at 2:30 AM. You will push hard up on a loose rock screes beside the ridge for 3 hours to arrive at Point Lenana just as the African sun rises over the horizon Then Descent turn back down the Chogoria route to the Vivian falls route.You will trail back down past Mintos Camp for breakfast, take a lunch break at the scenic Road Head river, and complete the long march back down to the comfort of the Bandas camp
