Leave at 03:00 hrs for predawn summit attempt, trekking for 3-4 hours across bare rock and scree slopes characteristic of the alpine region up to Pt.Lenana (4985m) the third-highest peak on Mount Kenya, and trekking from Mackinder's Camp to the summit, then descending to Old Moses Camp, is the most iconic, high-altitude section of the Naro Moru to Sirimon traverse route
