Depart Arusha and drive through the Great Rift Valley, past Lake Manyara, and up to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area gate. Enjoy lunch with panoramic views of the crater from the rim. Afternoon visit to a nearby Maasai boma for a cultural experience. Camp on the crater rim at 2,286m with misty forest surroundings. Activities
Descend 600 metres to the crater floor at dawn for a 5-6 hour game drive. Explore grasslands, swamps, acacia forest, and Lake Magadi in search of the Big Five. Watch for black rhino in the open, lion prides, elephant herds, and flamingos on the soda lake. Picnic lunch on the crater floor before ascending the rim and driving back to Arusha.
