Day 1. Ol Pejeta/ Sweetwaters Conservancy /mtkenya/mau mau caves

Depart from Nairobi at 0700 Hours and proceed north, driving through lush tea and coffee estates to Sweetwaters Game Reserve.which is only a three hour drive from Nairobi on good roads, Ol Pejeta conservancy is the closest place for you to come and see the big 5. Ol Pejeta Conservancy boasts an astounding variety of animals including the non-indigenous chimpanzees and the big 5 (the endangered black rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo and lion).others including  reticulated giraffe, common, or Burchell’s, zebra, , Cape Buffalo, warthogs, Waterbucks, Jacksons Hartebeest, Lion, Cheetah, Leopard, Steinbok, Striped Hyena, Suni, Thomson’s Gazelle and Impala. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded including the Ostritch.

Day 2

After breakfast from your hotel hike through the Mau mau caves which is a 9 kilometers walk,this was used as a hide out during the colonial emergency period between the british and the mau mau colonial fighters betwen 1952 and 1960,however the pleasant walk in the bushes,animals you are able to see include baboons,birds and other footprints related to hyenas,bufalloes and other wildlife in the forest.picnic lunch will be provided by our cook,

 Day 3

After breakfast, you are driven to the Sirimon Gate via Nanyuki for any last minute shopping.  It is about twenty minutes from Naro Moru to Nanyuki, and then a further 45 minutes to the Sirimon Gate.  On arrival at the gate, your Guide will register with KWS, the Kenya Wildlife Service, and pay the park fees.  The Cook and porters will organise the distribution of the packs and provisions and then set off for the first camp.

This is a four hour trek up a fairly steep vehicle track through the forest where you will see evidence of elephant and buffalo and possible sightings of bushbuck and baboons.  If you are setting off around 11, you will have a picnic lunch on the way, weather permitting.  If your departure is delayed, you may have an early picnic lunch at the gate.  This walk takes you up to 3,300 metres to Old Moses camp where there is a bunkhouse and campsite.

 Day 4 

After breakfast, you leave at around 7.30.  An early start is advisable for the best views, as the weather can close in during the afternoon.after a a picturesque sceneries in 3500m to the met station  from which you can be able to see different peaks sarounding mtkenya then  return  back to the camp ready to walk down further to the sirimon gate to connect the car to Nairobi.
