10 days mountkenya hikes tours combined with cultural safari
Day 1 (mountkenya hikes tours) Nairobi to Mt Kenya Bandas
(2,900m) 3hrs, 10km walk, 650m ascent.
Depart from to mountkenya central region of the agikuyu Bantu group found in mountkenya,the centralised tribe around mountkenya which was known to be the colonial central fighting region of the mau mau war in 1945.,the chogoria ascent route is known to be the most beautiful route to hike up,and dense bamboo forest that forms a canopy.our trekking today will be 10km to chogoria banda’s camp.
Day 2:Mt Kenya Bandas -road head camp ( 3300m
3hrs.
Breakfast at 8:30 leave the camp and pass by the special campsite,the vegetation is very indiginous,with an easy pace,viewing the scenic views of Mugi, Ithanguni and the Giants Billiards Table, to the banda’s camp, during the evening walk around the nithi water fall which is the largest water falls in mountkenya,peaks like batian,nelion are therefore seen at this altitude of 3300,
Mountkenya wildlife such as bufalloes,baboons can be seen grazing around onna lucky day.

Day 3: road head camp – Minto`s Camp. ( 4,200m) 4 hrs, 12km, 500m ascent.
An early start is necessary on this day,we follow the ridge, passing through the vivian falls,this side is less touristic,the lakes michaelson and gorges valley make up this route,the northern moorlands are the main grass
The more you get closer the more beautiful mountkenya becomes,sorounded by enormous peaks,
After reaching the mintos camp,you can spend the afternoon walking beside the vertical cliff,of the gorges valley,and beneath is the icy water from the snow of mountkenya
Day 4: Minto`s – Pt Lenana ( 4,985m)- Old Moses camp. 11-12 hrs, 785
ascent, 1,685 descent, 24km,
Before dawn wake up,2:30 ready to conquer the summits of mountkenya,4985m,good hiking boots are recommended,as the soil is loose, with your pace,walk slowly and at 6:30 am you able to summit.when clear my kilimanjaro can be seen,at the summit one can be able to see the 3 hiking valleys on the north south and western sides,the top austrian hut can olso be seen.
The descent through the mackinders valley is easy and scenic, covering a 5 hour walk to oldmoses camp at 3300m.
Day 5: Old Moses camp – Nairobi- 2 hrs.
After breakfast, walk down through the rainforest for 2 hours to connect
with your transport vehicle back to Nairobi.
Hells gate national park
Day 6:Leave Nairobi early in the morning for hellsgate national park in lake naivasha,start the cycling after park formalities clearance,hells gate is unique in its way,as it is the only park that you can walk and cycle freely,while seeing the animals,what to see in hellsgate are bufalloes,maasai giraffes,grevy zebras, impalas,it is olso suitable park to do the training of technical climbing,and walking along the gorge.
Day 7: (loita hills cultural walking tour)
After leaving Nairobi drive to the maasai dominated region of narok town,for lunch,the loita hills walking tour is known for its diversity in cultural promotion,it’s the only tribe that has kept secret traditional culture,drive to the narosura town in the maasai region,and walk for 9km to morijo campsite for dinner and overnight.
Day 8:in the early morning before the hot sun rises,walk through the scattered bushes and hills of the maasai,through entasopia cultural school and village to enkutoto campsite, 18km walk
Day 9:leave the enkutoto forest( the forest of the lost girl) in loita,which is the only forest greener on loita plains,the forest is useful in maintaining the water tower of the maasai,we will pass the river so many times,its the main habitat for wildlife like velvet monkeys,baboons,and bird watchers can enjoy the species.along the way maasai tribe grazing cows are met along.having covered an 19 km walk to njoroi campsite.
Day 10:after breakfast in njoroi campsite,start hiking up the ngurman escapment,which has stunning skeptical view,beside the longest river( ewaso ngiro river) in the maasai region and
descend down the escarpment and through small farms to Nguruman town for transfer back to Nairobi via Lake Magadi and the
Olorgasaile prehistoric site so as to arrive in Nairobi late afternoon.
