Day 1:Nairobi -majimoto eco camp 4km walk around
Drive from Nairobi to the great rift valley,via the escarpment,arrive at narok for lunch,and 6 days food stocking for the loita trip safari,arrive in majimoto camp in the evening,after a short brief,visit the maasai village,and local traditional manyatta,and the loita hotsprings.the word definition word of loita,means scattered hills in maasai region,that traverse all the way to maasai mara and serengeti part of the eco system.dinner and overnight at the camp.loita wildlife, ndorobo camp,
Majimoto eco camp -motorok camp: 18km walk
Day 2:after an early breakfast leave the majimoto area,to avoid the hot sunrise in the loita plains,as this day will be a long walk,that covers 20km to motorok camp,which is named after the bird,it is olso a salt lick area for the wild animals such as elephants,zebras attraction,on the way there are drought resistance trees and bushes that includes,the yellow backed acacia,the umbrella acacia,and whistling acacia,the loita plains are spectacular, gorgeous hills found in the maasai area.animals likely to meet at this area are zebras, thomson gazelles, different species of birds,snakes,elands.the camp is a to the edge side of the water that springs on the ground.dinner and overnight at the camp
Motorok – ndorobo camp 20km walk
Day 3:our journey of 20 km from motorok,to ndorobo camp was fun,the night was full of whistling noises of night jars,bats,and insects,hyenas wooing sounds was noisy,this day is walking in flat plains of sourounding massive hills of loita,in a lucky day you meet maasai moran’s and local loita maasai heading to a nearby town for a market day.its all shaded red colour,the main maasai attire’s.
The loita plains between motorok and narosura is flat,and water is plenty in this area,you can easily see wildlife grazing, wildebeest,zebra, secretary birds,ostrich and gazelles graze in the area.
After arriving in narosura people buy any food out of stock,while proceeding to the rocky hills of ndorobo community camp arriving in the evening.
Day 4: Ndorobo camp -entasopia camp 18km
The loita plains walk is coming green,the terrain is changing,and loita hills forest is covered by yellow acacia,we meet the first school of olomunyak,the kids are happy,and we decide to talk to them,most of them look at us with a happy smiles singing and dancing for us,if you are a volunteer, you can donate any staffs at school, the 1st look alike town we meet is ntulele,
From Ntulele center there are valleys occupied by tall green trees,the water is plenty,as you will pass the streams of entasopia river, camping along the river is fun,with whistling sounds.if you are a bird enthusiastic,loita plains and hills are the best place to tour.
Day 5: entasopia camp to ngurman entasopia camp 15km
Early morning leave the entasopia camp,passing through njoroi camp, through the zigzag water points,and walk and climb upward the escarpment views,the down ward valley of ngurman is steep down,this day you can be able to see the ngurman water falls,the ewasongiro river,which is the main water supply,from mau forest,down to maasai region.camping is fun by the last point of the river entasopia,
Day 6:After widing up the 6 days exciting cultural loita walking safari,leave the ngurman town, and drive down,to the driest part of lake magadi,which is the biggest soda ash production activities in maasai region.connect the tarmac and drive through the pre historic archaeology sites of olgessaile which was formed during the old stonage period,after connect through the hills of ngong,to Nairobi.
